LinkedUp Fundraising is a Community Interest Company (CIC), a social enterprise, founded by Clare Acklam in 2012 for two reasons.  Firstly to raise money for charities in various ways and secondly, to provide opportunities for students or those unable to get conventional hour jobs to apply for Apprentices, Volunteering, Internships or Placements and join the team of Fundraisers, Event Managers or Marketeers who make up LinkedUp Fundraising.  She has now also founded "LinkedUp Marketeers" and "LinkedUp Events" to further support LinkedUp Fundraising. Surpluses are ploughed back into the CIC to support charities and to create work opportunities.

LinkedUp Fundraising is designed to add value to a charity's fundraising team by providing fundraising services that the existing teams don't have time or resources to do or to project manage a whole fundraising campaign. We aim to fill that resources gap where employee time and expertise does not reach far enough to source funds that would otherwise have been missed.  There is a whole range of expertise!

LinkedUp Fundraising enables Charities to raise extra funds with low fees, saving a full time salary.  Project management of fundraising events means that Corporations and Individuals can raise funds for their chosen charity without doing any of the logistical work. 

Corporations can support charities in Charity of the Year commitments under the guidance of LinkedUp Fundraising in other ways, from group training of staff in-house or implementing the project including design from start to finish.  Management of this commitment means staff can continue with the daily workload but get the recognition of charity involvement and fulfilling their own and their employee’s CSR Policies all at the same time. 


LinkedUp Fundraising is being supported by The Cathedral Innovation Centre and the Portsmouth Business School.  It forms part of LinkedUp Solutions and is supported by LinkedUp Marketeers and LinkedUp Events.  Feel free to drop into the shop at 121 High Street Old Portsmouth whenever you like!

Fundraising Events

Events can be chosen by any party to meet any objective and the team will carry out the marketing and event plan to achieve those aims.  Profile-raising of the charity is closely aligned to the fundraising you wish to carry out and LinkedUp Fundraising, over a period of time, will achieve both in equal measures with data capture and stewardship along the way.  A strong element of community building is incorporated into every event.

Each event will have its own marketing message and can be campaign style as part of a calendar of events or one off events to suit the charity or corporate requirements.  Has your organisation agreed to a Charity of the Year scheme but don’t know where to start?

The only request from LinkedUp Fundraising is that the Charity turn up to the event to build on new relationship opportunities and agrees marketing material prior to invites or flyers being distributed - even down to the stickers on the collection buckets.  The charity walks away with funds it never had and a raised profile.  Various packages are available to suit the size of your charity and fundraising input required.  All remuneration packages are negotiated to be fair on both sides at the outset.  We are well aware that people only use us when they are looking for added value rather than added cost!

LinkedUp Fundraising uses LinkedUp Marketeers for promotional purposes, to design an appropriate marketing plan and works alongside your own branding at all times.
